Week 1 - Unconventional Typography booklet design

Week 1 (goals from schedule):

• InDesign tutorial and exercise files/test.

• Research more about characters: Verna, Olive, Diane, Rachel, Mya and Henrietta gathering photos, letters, and thoughtfully outlining what the messages that each character will say.

• Set up a mood board on Pinterest with Karen to share inspirations including color schemes and experimental sizes.

• Consider target audience when making key design decisions for the booklet.

Week 1 (accomplished):

• Halfway through Skillshare tutorial and starting to design example of book cover (Lettering for Designers: One Drop Cap Letterform at a Time- Jessica Hische, Letterer and Illustrator)

• Research more about characters: Discussed project with Olive (my grandmother) about the project to get an idea of tone for her message

• Set up a mood board on Pinterest with Karen to share inspirations including color schemes and experimental sizes.
