Reading-Berks Guild of Crafts(WO)men Holiday Show
This weekend I vended The Reading-Berks Guild of Crafts(WO)men Holiday Show at Kutztown for the first time. It was a great experience and I was very successful selling my work. I was able to also display my Penny Olive painting and talk to people about the book. There was a lot of interest in the character and book and it was great to get the feedback of the community. I was inspired and excited again to get crackin on the book in order to complete it for both our class and the Christmas on the Farm event at The Pennsylvania German Heritage Center in Kutztown. I spent the whole show painting and talking to people who love and appreciate what I am doing with my work (taking art from Fraktur and enlarging it and painting it on alternative materials {wood, canvas, slate} rather than the traditional paper). It was a fantastic show and a big boost in my drive and focus to my vision for Penny Olive! Plus I got to sit next to the lovely Amanda Richardson from PAGHC <3
