
Week 1 - Unconventional Typography booklet design
Week 1 (goals from schedule): • InDesign tutorial and exercise files/test. • Research more about characters: Verna, Olive, Diane, Rachel, Mya and Henrietta gathering photos, letters, and thoughtfully outlining what the messages that each character will say. • Set up a mood board on Pinterest with Karen to share inspirations including color schemes and experimental sizes. • Consider target audience when making key design decisions for the booklet. Typographic scherenschnitte
Last week I printed my apron out onto canvas and hand cut the entire piece out. I touched up areas where the ink pulled up with paint. Next I tacked the piece to tulle in order for it to have more structural integrity while hanging vertically. Last night I sewed the dress that will go behind the apron. WTF AI?
Where'd my K + k go? Errrgggg, just when I though AI and I were reunited and it was feeling so good!! LOL! I made a print for cutting and two of my letters didn't show up- but they're on the original file, so they must have been left behind when I moved the work to a new art board.... and in my haste to print I made waste without noticing :( Handlettering this baby!
